High-definition plasma is the fast, economical way to cut stainless plate: a finely focused, high-energy arc produces a clean, near-machined edge that usually needs little or no secondary finishing. We stock the stainless and cut it under one roof, so material and cutting come on a single purchase order — one vendor, quoted within the hour.
Our HD plasma is ideal for 2D profiles in stainless steel plate from 3/16″ to 2″, holding tolerances around ±0.015″. We run the same process on chrome moly plate, which we also stock. When plasma isn't the right fit — heat-sensitive, very thin, very thick, or non-conductive parts — we move the job to our OMAX waterjet, so you always get the right process from one accountable team. We cut and deliver across Ontario and Canada-wide, typically in one to five business days, backed by our ISO 9001:2015 and CSA N299.4-16 certifications.

Our high-definition plasma cuts stainless steel plate from roughly 3/16 inch up to 2 inches thick. For thinner sheet, thicker sections, or heat-sensitive parts, we cut on our OMAX waterjet instead — send your drawing and we will recommend the right process.
High-definition plasma typically holds around plus or minus 0.015 inch on stainless plate, with a clean, near-machined edge that usually needs little or no secondary finishing. If your part needs tighter tolerances, waterjet is the better fit.
Choose HD plasma for fast, economical 2D profiles in conductive metal, especially stainless steel plate. Choose waterjet for very tight tolerances, no heat-affected zone, bevels and 3D shapes, thick sections, or non-conductive materials like glass and stone. Not sure?
