A new $2-Billion NOVA project is coming to Sarnia-Lambton and it is going to keep this community and Huron Alloys hopping for years to come and we couldn’t be more excited.
The expansion of NOVA Chemicals was announced in December 2017 which will include an expansion of an existing NOVA Plant as well as a new petrochemical plant, total value estimated at $2-Billion Dollars.
The province is investing $100 million to the project, “the second largest manufacturing investment in a century” said Brad Duguid, Minister of Economic Development and Growth.
This is a huge win for Canada as well, as NOVA was considering choosing the U.S., where environmental regulations are being gutted and a large corporate tax cut looms – but Canada won this one fair and square.
These are exciting times for Canada, Sarnia-Lambton and Huron Alloys.
